Modulus — where it appears

The ratio of stress to strain in a material's elastic range, which for concrete depends on its strength, its age and how long the load has acted. Under sustained load an effective modulus, the short-term value divided by one plus the creep coefficient, stands in for the stiffness a member actually has.
