Truss deflection — where it appears

The movement of a truss's joints produced by the stretching and shortening of its members, with the joints treated as pins. It is found as a sum over members by the unit-load method, or drawn joint by joint as a Williot–Mohr diagram, and each member's term says how much of the deflection that member supplies.
